AMBER YOUNG

Amber Young has always painted what surrounds her. The pond, lake, and Acadian forest of Hampton, New Brunswick, shaped both her life and her artistic voice. For over two decades, her work has focused on the energy of forests, flowers, and water.

Young studied art and art education at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, continued her studies in ceramics at Sheridan College, and later travelled to Taiwan to study Chinese lotus painting.

Her paintings are not literal depictions of nature. They aim to capture the feeling of standing inside it. Through movement, colour, and brushwork, she invites viewers into an immersive, emotional experience of place. Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows and is held in collections across North America.
